Our History
Making a Difference Since 1959
Who We Are
The Bellville Hospital Foundation is a duly recognized 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt organization formed in 1959. It went dormant for some years until its revitalization in 1999 by local banker Keith Kidwell and Industry business owner C. Gaylen Ackley. These two Austin County residents provided seed money to jump start the hospital with the help of the newly formed Bellville Hospital District to provide necessary healthcare for Austin County. The Hospital Foundation was re-energized as the fundraising entity it Is today.

FOUNDATION INFORMATION
Historically the Hospital Foundation and Hospital Auxiliary (now called New 2 U Resale Shop) have been instrumental in raising funds for the operation and improvement of the Bellville Medical Center (BMC) for many years. As the cost to provide healthcare increases, the need for more charitable funds increases as well. Please consider a donation to the Hospital Foundation or the addition of the Hospital Foundation in your estate planning. The Hospital Foundation now may accept stock certificates and other financial instruments related to estate planning. Your contributions are tax deductible to the extent allowed under current IRS rules. Please make your check or other contributions payable to the Bellville Hospital Foundation. Our Texas Charter from the Office of the Secretary of State certifies the Articles of Incorporation for BELLVILLE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION (file number 13674901), a Domestic Nonprofit Corporation, was filed on December 17, 1956. It is further certified that the entity status in Texas is in existence. Our nonprofit status was approved with an IRS Determination Letter issued in April 1959, recognizing the BELLVILLE HOSPITAL FOUNDATION as tax-exempt under Internal Revenue Code (IRC) Section 501 (c)(3).
